Let's see, Blue is (phonetically speaking) the past tense of "to Blow," while I've always heard "better dead than red." Blowing is good, but when it's over I always feel dirty, yet being dead sounds no fun at all. On the other hand, I enjoy the future tense of the verb form "to die" (ie life).
Thus, I have resolved nothing but that my $100K in student loans for law school were wasted on sophistry, and a really fun trip to Amsterdam, and that Blue is in fact better than red, based on the underlying roots words alone.
Excuse me while I get a shot.
