I don't think that you and Pete really disagree on this one. Yes, name-calling is certianly allowed in our society. I know folks who call George W an "idiot" or Clinton a "whore." Sometimes it's productive. But I think what you're saying is that it is usually not productive, and civilized people should (for their own best interest) try to find more productive ways of expressing themselves. And as I've learned, this forum is not a place for personal insults -- but that's kind of by agreement of everyone here.
