I agree 100% on both counts, Rich. The "factual" details of this auction description suggest intentional fraud -- they aren't true and it is extremely unlikely that he has any reason to believe they are. Ergo, it is extremely likely that he just made it all up.

And, anyone who truly doesn't know, should find out before giving supposedly factual information in an auction description. I have no problem with, "I have no idea what these are, but they're cool", but baseless factual claims about auction items are, in my opinion, fraudulent.

Hello ----- on the basis of what factual information do you make the claim that these are "Nazi" chips? Do you have any documentation of your claim that:

The fact is, these chips were made by the U.S. Playing Card Co. of Cincinnati Ohio between the early 1900's and the late 1930's. The swastika symbol is a Native American symbol for good luck and was used for that reason.

These chips had no connection whatsoever to Nazi Germany. It is also misleading, to say the least, to refer to this as a "complete set" when many of the swastika chips have been replaced with plain chip fillers. Furthermore, truly complete sets of these chips are readily available to anyone who really wants one.

The swastika chips do have some value, as many were destroyed because of the similarity to the Nazi symbol. Nevertheless, it is simply wrong to call these "Nazi Poker chips". They are not.
