I had a number of emails from George on this subject. I deleted them several months ago.

He was very upset over the slabbing vote and came close to resigning.
He said he had gotten total control from the board on the tables.

One email I remember very clearly. He was going to deal with the slabbing companies that left early in 01 in they applied for 02. He made that very clear.
He was upset that he had no power to deal with any new companies that applied for tables.

Regardless of his views on slabbing.
George was a great friend of the hobby, he is missed by many of us.
