One of the reasons I do not support Ralph for membership officer is as follows:

Before club elections, Ralph told everyone and anyone who would listen to him that if he were elected he would oppose any and all forms of slabbing.

After his election as membership officer he flip-flopped on the issue and voted to allow slabbing in our convention. When called upon to justify his position Ralph claimed he never said he would vote against slabbing in every form.

There you have reason one why I and many others refuse to support him.
