Jim; Not to rehash the past but one really can't compare the convention chip to 4Q chips. There were thousands of people over a two or three day period seeking out the convention chip. Many were able to purchase this chip, many were not due to the number of chips manufactured. I doubt if there were anywhere near those kind of numbers of people trying to purchase the 4Q chips. I agree with Gene. A very few number of individuals could selectively control the whole issue. 10 per customer is a reasonable number and should be sufficient and adhered to by casino management. Even at that, there are ways to get around the ten chip limit.... such as family members also buying ten chips each, going back to the window when the clerk is on break or out for lunch, returning during the next shift(s)..... or the next day, perhaps simply by waving a $10 bill may get someone preferential treatment, etc. etc. Just my opinion for whatever it's worth.
