Travis-I find your comments (and the others in this thread) insightful and interesting as it relates to the ethical aspects of bidding and offers and counter offers. Let me pose a question: if you contact a seller who is offering a chip for "too high" a price(not fraudulently, just out of ignorance of its common value)and give him information, is it then reasonble to expect that the same would be done if a seller offers a chip for sale at a low price, not realizing it is actually a rare or highly desireable chip that routinely sells for much, much more than the asking price? I know I'm playing "devil's advocate" here, but sometimes on this board you can read of someone deriding a seller for offering a chip at too high a price, and in the same post someone will gloat about what a great "steal" they got on ebay! Seems like opposite sides of the same coin to me. Of course, I'm excluding instances when sellers knowingly misrepresent the facts-that's flat out fraud. I'm not looking to play the role of "ethics police" here-just posing some food for thought, and am interested in hearing peoples thoughts on this. Thanks. Mike
