that the negativity bothers you. I agree that the board is much nicer without it, but not everything can be nice. If you only want to read positive posts, I'd suggest that you disregard any thread that has Dean Clark's name as the poster or in the subject line.
Several people (including me) have been burned by this guy. Carl's problem, and mine, wouldn't have happened if our packages had been insured. I don't know if Dean has started offering insurance. If he hasn't, new buyers NEED to be alerted to REQUEST INSURANCE from him. Most (or all) of the sellers on this board will replace anything lost or damaged by the post office. Dean Clark WON'T. He does zillions of ebay transactions, the negatives I left him were 3 years ago...how many buyers will look that far back? I understand that he's received a few more since then, but he says he's got 10,000 positives, if true it'd take a lot of looking to find the negatives. That's why I've posted my experiences here a couple of times.
My posts won't "put him out of business", and they probably won't deter anyone from dealing with him. Hopefully, the moral of my story will register, and that's "REQUEST INSURANCE"!
He's got some great chips and some of them go at great prices because there's a number of chippers who won't deal with him). I won't deal with him, there's too many nice chippers for me to waste time dealing with seller with a supercilious assitude!
