The "A" value that's listed in The Chip Rack is based totally on the "counterfeit, fake, fantasy, imitation" status of the chip. The Chip Rack values only genuine casino chips. The other chips are included so that we collectors will know that we haven't discovered a "new" chip.

There are also collectors who collect counterfeit chips. To those collectors, I believe that Borlands are worth more than "a couple bucks". The current bidders may be counterfeit collectors, or they may be chippers who haven't looked it up in TCR!
