Rene,
It is really very simple. The price you placed upon the chip of over $500.00 when it was believed to be 25 pieces was ridiculous in the first place.
This chip is a roulette with a simple hot stamp. There is no concrete proof other than what Gene has developed that it is a Las Vegas chip. I respect Gene and his research - however, I still have many questions.
I believe my last note too you involving this subject suggested to wait until ALL information was available before deciding upon a sales price.
The truth Gene is talking about is TRUTH in sale. A concept that seems to gets lost when dealing in chips. Quantities are forgotten; or facts are twisted to fit the chip; or etc. etc. etc. There really is no place in our hobby for anything but honesty. Making a profit is fine - gougeing is not. Some people gouge - it is not right.
I believe the reputation one develops over the course of time is fueled by the transactions of sale and trade. Not one transaction - but many. We all make mistakes for whatever reason(s). We are judged by these transactions and/or the business relationships we have and cultivate over a period of time. Right or wrong - that is the way it is. To steal an expression from the movie The Deer Hunter. "This is this". Best, Jim
Finally what do you mean when you refer to WE in your note? Best, Jim
