the TOTY, SSOTY and CKOTY Nomination process will be detailed in the next issue of the CCTN, which is to ship today (my fingers are crossed).

Briefly described, each CC&GTCC Member is permitted (encouraged) to nominate up to five different chips, tokens, strikes and slot cards/room keys, using the form provided as an insert to the CCTN.

Those Nominees are sent to me, whereupon I tabulate the sum total of all nominations. The Top Ten Nominees, in each of the four categories then become the Finalists. I then prepare a Judge's Pamphlet (which depicts all forty nominees) and send it and a Ballot to every member who made a nomination to any category, even if their Nominees did not make it to be Finalists.

Judges mark their Ballots (giving a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ranking to their top three Nominees in each of the four categories. Ballots are returned to me for tabulating. All 1st place votes are given 5 points each, all 2nd place votes are given 3 points each and all 3rd place votes receive 2 points each. I then total all points, which barring any ties, yields a first, second and third place Finisher in each of the four categories.

The winners are kept secret until the Awards are handed out (to casino management) during the Convention Banquet.

BTW-Since you are discussing "sets" of chips. Nominations may only be for individual items. All of the Ozzy chips would compete against eachother. It is very important to include denomination on the Nomination form, otherwise that nomination would be disqualified (not the form, just that entrant) for not knowing which chip was placed into nomination.
