I don't think that would be ...

... appropriate, Rick:

>> so give larry a break and let him back into the club

And let's not minimize what he did:

>> his crime was liking casino chips to much

The following is from Archie Black's announcement, posted on the club board on 4-28-99:

>> The Board of Officers have recently voted to permanently bar
>> ex-club member Larry Eastman from re-applying for club membership
>> in the future. The Board's unanimous action came as a result of
>> Eastman's guilty plea entered on April 21, 1999 of a theft charge in
>> a Nevada court of law.

>> Mr. Eastman was found guilty of stealing casino chips from the home of
>> club member Howard Herz and was sentenced to six months in jail,
>> which was suspended upon payment of restitution of $3,250.

Only one of the two chips which he stole was recovered (he apparently threw the other one down a hillside near his home).

I have mentioned before either here or on the club board that I do not know Larry personally and have, since his conviction, done eBay business with him (satisfactorily). Nevertheless, he should never be re-admitted to the club.

HH should be the one to petition his return.
