Best to tell the buyer its likely to ruin the chip trying to take it out of the keyring.
I had 20 of them. My wife was the poker mgr at the RIO. I ruined 4 trying to get them out. They are glued in. Finally got 1 out with minor nicks.
Traded the rest in the rings.

I have had 3 or 4 of the MGMs over the years. They are scarce but I can't figure out why. I have the numbers made at home. Pretty sure its over 5,000. They gave them away with horse bets. The security guards wound up with most that was left over. Thats where I got mine. They do come out of the rings, no problem.
There is a 2nd MGM for a different race. I have one and have seen one other. Same amount made.

I have the NY NY and have seen two others. Same amount made. No problem taking them out of the rings.
