I stay at the Flamingo because it puts you within walking distance to just about every thing. Probably the nicest rooms in Laughlin are at Harrah's. But it can be a long walk back up the hill at the end of the day. There's always the river boat shuttle though.
I think the best food is at Harrahs too.
