Wow, Andy said everything...

...I was gonna say! I DO NOT charge S&H on my auctions because I have a contract with the winning bidder. He pays me and I am obligated to deliver to him his merchandise. It's up to the seller to fulfill his part of the contract by turning over the auction item. It's up to the seller to insure that the item is delivered and the seller should make good for non-delivery if the winner has paid for the item. It a no-brainer to me, if my winning bidder lives 2,000 miles away, I know I'm going to have to mail it to him and in a reasonable and timely manner and I know that when I list the item.

Yeah sellers, I'll pay for your postage and bubblepack, but please pay for your own auctions. I accept that the prevailing failing grin of eBay custom is to tag the buyer with the seller's expenses, and boy, do I tire of wading through the weasel words (sorry weasels!) to find out how much back door action the seller adds to the cost of the item. sad
