Since my two copies are older issues, this may be redundant. But there is no date listed, and I found this while looking thorugh a ghost town book, by Shawn Hall. "Old Heart of Nevada" Ghost Towns and Minig Camps of Elko County.
It is so far the only casino reference I have found, but I'm still reading and I ordered a re-print of an article that mentiones casino information.

Oasis was first settled by E.C. Hardy, who raised horses, in the early 1880s. Oasis also became a popular stopping off point for travelers. A gas station, small motel, and now an RV park have served. In July, 1947, the Oasis Hotel and Casino opened and was owned by Sam Tooley. The ranch is still in operation today as is the RV Park, gas station, and small store.

For anyone who cares Oasis is about halfway between Wells and Wendover, just off I-80.
So now we have a name and a date for opening.
