I've read and been advised that chips generally trade face value for face value. $1 for $1, $5 for $5, etc.
My question is, surely there are people willing to trade $5's for $1's, right? If so, what's a general rule of thumb for an equitable trade there? Five $1's for one $5? Fewer? More?
I've been told "equitable" means that both parties are satisfied, but I didn't want to make someone an unreasonable offer of $1's for $5's, plus I'd like to know what one is if it's made to me.
Thanks in advance!
