PROBABLY NOT!! IT IS ONE OF 5 KNOWN TO EXIST!!

Now the Story!!

Back quite a few years ago, We were at Jim Munding’s show in California.
We were at one of the room to room sessions for chips when an individual not in our group got a little nosey and asked what we were doing. We told him we were trading chips and tokens from casinos. He replied that his wife had some chips at home we might be interested in. He gave us his business card and asked us to contact him.
We called and found out that they had 5 sets of chips available from Bally’s in Reno.. Each set consisted of 5 chips, a $1, $5, $25, $100 and $500. Knowing we didn’t have the money to purchase all five sets, we contacted Doug Saito and told him about this opportunity to buy these chips. Doug made arrangements to look these chips over and we were invited along.

We arrived at their home in Las Vegas and found out that the fellow’s wife had been the Comptroller for Bally’s in Reno when it closed and was in charge of the destruction of ALL of Bally’s Chips. Everything at Bally’s was destroyed except the 5 sets kept out for friends. She became willing to sell them when Doug made her an offer. In looking the chips over Janice noticed that all the $5 chips looked
different than normal. She looked them up in the Chip rack and at that time they were NOT listed.

In the conversation with the wife, we came to find out these $5 chips were from the BACK-UP set and as stated before, EVERYTHING was destroyed. She had just taken 5 of each denomination without looking at the chips. Doug ended up buying the 5 sets and Janice talked Doug into letting us have the $5 chip from one set as a VIG for getting
him this deal. This is how we happen to have this little beauty.

We are slowly letting some of our extra chips and higher valued chips go, so we will entertain any serious offers for the $5 chip mentioned above. It is now listed as a T+ but I feel it is worth a lot more. Still, if interested, Contact us at Junkman3@earthlink.net. & maybe we can make a deal.
