Last year, after he passed away, I uncovered some "gaming tokens" that my grandfather had been keeping for apparently many years. I have about 15 from Las Vegas and about 8 from Atlantic City. All of the Vegas chips are completely metal, and all are from either 1965 or 1966. They are from various casinos, most that I am sure no longer exist. There are no repeats, and they are all of $1 value.
The Atlantic City chips are all plastic, a couple with metal inserts. They also appear to be from the mid-sixties, and all of $1 value. One is from the Playboy Casino and another is actually a 50 cent chip from Scandinavian World Cruises.
I don't know what I have here, if anything. How come there is very little info on completely metal tokens? Were these just for souvenir purposes? Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
