John, No problem, I am also sans scanner. I recall one of my last visits to the Lucayan was on a Saturday afternoon when there were about 10 people in the entire casino. I had not yet perfected my roulette purchasing techniques. I was playing at the table that had the anchor chips. I asked the pit boss if I could buy some of the chips (would you believe!) Of course, he said, "NO WAY". After that he watched me like a hawk. I did manage to accidently place a few in my pocket, & went to the bathroom. After completing my rituals, I exited & was immediately met by 2 security guards & that pit boss. I was told that they had witnessed what I did, & I would have to return to the table to cash in my chips. Being that I was a guest in the Bahamas, I quickly complied. I had heard that Bahamian jails only served one meal a day, & you have to sleep on the floor. After leaving the casino, I took a taxi back to the Princess. I told the taxi driver what had happened & he laughed heartedly. I told him that I was a chip collector, which he found quite odd, but told me to ask for him at the taxi stand when I was ready to go back to the airport. I did & he produced 2 mint $1 El Casino chips which I paid him a few bucks for. All was not in vain but I vowed not to go back to the Lucayan Beach for, at least, a few months. It was then announced that the casino would be shut down, after being taken over by the govenment. I still have a number of the $1 Lucayan Beach chips, but no roulettes. These are great looking roulette chips & I wonder where the rack now resides.
