I knew it; Mike asks why the chips warp and I'll bet we're in for a TRIMBLE/PERLOWSKI battle on how to carry chips from here to there when living in the desert in the summer.
However, Mike, I've owned a number of warped clay design chips--no casino warpies. What I did with the clays was to put them in hot simmering but not boiling water for a few seconds; then press them down flat and on paper towels [to absorb the mosture] and put a heavy book on them over night. That worked but it didn't anything good for the colors which faded. [Clay designs can be partially restored to color by putting on some light oil--vitamin E oil--rubbing in and toweling off.
They warp when left in the sun or when there is too much heat, such as when a casino burns down.
