but you certainly cannot compare the Bugeye program to the history and tradition of Notre Dame. Most people 100 miles outside of Columbus couldn't name Ohio State's current coach, while ND's coaches are always prominent just because of their job. Coaches are important when the top prep players choose a college, but the opportunity to play for Notre Dame is something most players dream of but only few attain.

And the success of any program is somewhat based upon the success of their players as they continue on in the pros....Theissman, Montana, Tim Brown are just a few ND grads that have had some success in the pros. The only two Ohio State grads that I can remember are Archie Griffen (who was a bust in the pros) and Art Schleister (who was busted in the pros).

Compare titles...compare coaches...compare players...compare history...Notre Dame is truly head & shoulders above most programs -- including Ohio State.
