I'll refer you to two of my old posts comparing this issue to those of Trademark law. I admit that there are in fact differences, but I am particualrly interested in the general principles. Furthermore, I do believe that taking an image of a PaulSon (or whatever) chip created for X casino in 1954, when it is in fact a David Whalen (although i don't know him or his work, I'm just going based on what I've read) and then using some some PaulSon parts (old broken chips) and some of your own parts and craftmanship to create something that resembles that PaulSon chip, infringes PaulSon's trademarks.
