..applying a thin coat of Baby Oil { or similar substance } fall into the "Reparing A Chip Category" ??? I can understand and agree with everything else you stated, filling in holes, removing hot stamp cancellations, etc, etc. I clean all of my chips and on occasion do apply a thin coat of Baby Oil here and there. I'm 100% against the Slabbing Of Chips....but....I'm afraid I'm going to have to stear clear of this one. Because I don't agree with you a full 100%. I for one see nothing wrong with cleaning a chip and applying a thin coat of Bay Oil or similar substance. I always did do this and will continue.
