NCV chips go through the same process as chips with a $ on them.
IMO, gaming did not have a problem with the $1 original chips. Palace Station pulled them because of all the crap posted on this BB.

Chips without a $ or NCV are called NO VALUE chips, advertising chips, gift shop chips, etc. No gaming process required. A good example of these are the Palms Playboy Manison chips and the Ghost Bar/Rain chips.
