Two chips that I've often encountered in unacceptable condition because of fading are the Chipcos used at the obsolete Coahoma MS Lady Luck and the New Mexico Sky City chips. Those must have been made within that window of time.

On the other hand, almost all of the Vicksburg Rainbow $2.50 chips have very vibrant color retention.
