I think if it ever did get created, it would have to be sold door-to-door by guys in cheap suits driving Ford Pintos, because it would easily be the size of an encyclopedia.

What could work, if instead of being published, it was online. The problem is setting prices. I suppose you could simply list the last eBay auctions for that particular item. It's not much but it is something. chipguide.com is great, but it's missing a ton of chips and has no pricing.
