The card I have matches yours....(at least I THINK it does!!...now that we have variations!)
On the back, mine says "Las Vegas' newest commercial hotel in the heart of downtown area." I know nothing about cars, but you say the ones in the pc are '52-'53...but the hotel opened in 1940.
Huh? Newest? 12 years or so after it opened?
If I look at our OTHER Elwell pc (older...a floor shorter), the back says "Las Vegas' newest commercial hotel in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. Coffee Shop and 202 Bar in connection." It isn't the same publisher as the "50's card.
We have matches too, I think they're the same as yours. The matches also don't mention a casino or gaming, and they say 117 rooms. Soooo...I'm guessing the matches are probably from the 50's also...since the hotel went from 88 to 117 rooms. The extra floor would accommodate the additional rooms. Now that you've made me think about all this stuff our ashtray is probably from the "50's too, as the hotel pictured on it matches the "50's postcard version.
I'll email you a scan of the older pc.
