I agree with you as well JB. We need a plan for the club as a whole to take action against those who would attempt to defraud the innocent. The club is at a point that was probably never anticipated at it's inception. We are going through natural growing pains. We need a strong BOD with a mission to rid our hobby of these cheaters. We need the involvement of knowledgable people to do things like write articles for other collectors publications, not just our own. We need people to speak up when they smell something fishy going on, even if they are not sure exactly what it is, as Jim P has done with the ashtray question. Knowledge is power. The more we know, the stronger we are and the better decisions we can make, both as individuals and as a club. It concerns me that with over 2700 members, the same people are the ones to speak up and take a stand over and over. I don't accept that there are those that are afraid to express an opinion for fear of being flamed. This is America for God's sake. OF the people, FOR the people, BY the people. Have WE the people become too complacent? Do we expect someone else to take care of everything for us? How many of our membership will vote in the upcoming election? Why are 3 of 5 candidates running unopposed? I know that there are members who can't fit too much into their busy schedule right now. I accept that not everyone has a great deal of time to give at any given moment. So if you don't have time to give, DONATE SOME KNOWLEDGE. Share what you know with the rest of us. We can all afford to learn a little more or something different. If you have time to post on this BB, you have time to teach somthing to someone.
