Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I don't know if he is informing the buyer the ashtray is a reproduction. Please read my note again. The more important point I was making - IS once the ashtray leaves the store it no longer carries the distinction of "reproduction" and just becomes an ashtray to be sold on ebay, or to another collector, etc. thereby creating a problem of "is it real"?
