Hi Charles, we see this sequence on most chips that use a waffled print for their paper inlays. Picture a large sheet of paper where the waffle pattern is not symmetrical, i.e., the pattern gradually changes from a small pattern of waffles to larger waffles. Each cut of a circular inlay will have a different pattern. No two cut from the same sheet will be exactly alike. Therefore, the background color will be different also, due to the size of the waffles.
