Yes , all these things go on , but the far more common and dangerous scam is when two people - apparently unrelated - claim 5 or 6 straight ups on a number and they have the same colour chips .Nowadays we just use CCTV to check who placed the bet and sometimes bar one or both players if collusion is suspected .
Most places I have worked we only order 240 chips of each colour , operating with a bank of 200 , so it is a major pain in the a** to have to replace wheelchecks .
