While I was having a great time in Alaska, we stopped in Skagway (also spelled: Skaguay). The National Park Service has restored an old saloon, called the Mascot, which is now on display. The photos below show a display case that contained some artifacts that were found under the floor boards of the saloon.
The larger chip fragment has a six-pointed star etched into the surface.
