Given that my visit will coincide wit the NHRA event at the LVMS, you might want to find out if there are going to be any music tie-ins. The Scorpions were guests of the track at the Mile-High Nationals in July. They were playing Red Rocks a couple nights after the event. Klaus Meine and the guys spent about a half hour in the media suite, describing their experience of standing at the starting line during a top fuel car launch. To paraphrase Klaus, "We turn our system up to 11 for our concerts, and we've never heard anything as loud as those cars! Our sound guys have some work to do!"
