Why are you investing $5 in a $1 chip? Is the casino charging you more than face?
Don't get me wrong, I like the chips, and I like the idea, I like that you are donating proceeds to the building fund. But the reason some people are having a problem with it (even if this isn't the reason they are saying) is that unlike your previous chips these are actual casino releases, which the casino is selling exclusively to you. Imagine the uproar if the Hard Rock made a set of chips and gave the entire release to one dealer. Then imagine that dealer when they come under fire turning around and saying . . . "well no one complained when Rene did it at the Palace Station"
That underlying issue is making some people uneasy. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do it, just that you should be aware of their legitimate concerns.
