I've placed my bid in to work the NHRA drag race the end of next month at the LVMS. My boss emailed me last week telling me that I was there, but, don't buy the plane ticket just yet. The folks that I work for try to spread the popular races around, giving at least one event at venues that have two events a year to everyone who wants one. If there was room in the tower, all ten of us would be in Vegas, spring and fall.

Working the race or not, I'm pretty sure I'll be in Vegas for that event.

Working, my time will be limited, gotta be at the track at 7:00 a.m., not much time to socialize in the casinos late night because of the early morning wake-up calls.

Not working, I'm much more flexible.

How about me and you and Chuck get together? I'll buy the first round.

Chuck Smorse is someone that everyone should meet and get to know in person. He's one of my favorite people, ever.
