Well, for the record, the Who chips sale seemed to go as smoothly as anyone could ask. Chips went on sale on time, no problems whatsoever. More amazingly, despite a HUGE line that started to form around 3:00 or 4:00 AM (from what i hear -- I got there at 7:00), it seemed like there were enough $100s made available so that everyone who made a reasonable effort to get there on time got one (again, I don't know that EVERY person on line got one, but people far behind me on line were getting them). At the same time, it was obviously a hot chip, and a scarce one given the demand, and anyone who put in the effort to score one should feel like they actually got something of value. And there were obviously plenty of $5 and $25s to go around. All-in-all, I'd call it a well thought out release. Then again, this isn't how I make my living, so who knows how those people feel. I'm sure someone will have something to complain about.
