Jim; Have you ever witnessed a slot card trade session at the convention ... where thousands and thousands of cards are offered for trade? Folks go through cards at an amazing speed ... giving each one a cursory look ... possily many of them are "blanks" .... and putting those blanks aside that they wish to keep, into a pile.

After settling up the trade account between the two traders ... each of them move on to other trades at other tables .... which is repeated dozens of times throughout the convention.

These cards are not identified or disclosed as being "restored" .... (using your venacular)... at least I've not seen one so identified. I only found out recently that this practice of removing ink from cards was being done with the use of nail polish remover.

The person who winds up with the "restored cards" after the trade sessions have been concluded didn't know the names and account numbers on the cards have been removed ... and probably does not remember who he/she got them from ... so he/she offers them as "blanks" and away we go again!

Nobody's responsible.... "no one has done anything wrong....."

In light of the brass-core fiasco, and now this more recent development, perhaps it is time for the club to consider revising portions of its "Code of Ethics" to include the "F" word.
