Just got back from a quick weekend trip to Lake Charles, Louisiana and thought I'd post a brief report for fellow chippers.

There are four riverboat casinos currently in operation on the Lake - two are operated by Harrah's and two by Isle of Capri. About a half hour northeast is the Grand Casino Coushatta in Kinder, Louisiana.

Side by side at the Harrah's location are the Pride of Lake Charles and the Harrah's Star. Sharing a dock at the Isle of Capri are the Grand Palais and the Crown Casino (using seven-year-old Isle of Capri chips).

Much excitement about the new Pinnacle Casino and Hotel which I believe will open in Lake Charles sometime in 2003.
