Bob- The issue with profiling is that it's not easy to spot a "muslim extremist" and those who point out that X number of terrorist acts are carried out by Muslim extremists are not really asking that we target "muslim extremists." They are arguing that we target dark-skinned people of Middle Eastern descent. Then, of course, if an Italian-American gets caught up in the net, they complain about the inconvenience. In the meantime, while you are stopping every person with a Saudi passport and forcing them into a strip search, Tim McVeigh, John Walker, or Baruch Goldstein walk right through security. Yeah, great system. That'll work.
