I wanted a "California" bear chip from the first time I saw it in Dale's first catalogue; finally a guy who will go anonymous wrote me; had all three colors and wanted to trade and said send anything. So I put in a box of 25 different animals and sent it to him; he fired back a blistering note with my chips saying I was trying to cheat him. Learned later that he had just been cheated by a dealer at an LV gun show who sold him faked ivories. Anyway, no bear. Then at a 10 table show in Utica, NY, found my first bear and had to pay a buck for it. Got the red one last year, from Michael Par, I think. And now the blue.
