... generally or Indiana gaming law in particular, but I'd have to guess, based on the news article, that it is legal for the state to force the casino to pay (state) income tax on the money they WOULD have made during the period their license was suspended. I guess the theory is that it is just another form of "fine" for their "misconduct".
I'm not a tax expert, either, but I'd also guess that they will not have to pay federal income on their phantom earnings. Any of you tax guys out there got an opinion on that?
BTW, Katie, this is just like the old days!! You and I up late and having a private conversation on the ChipBoard. Glenda arrived today and is already asleep. We leave Friday for a week in Hawaii for #3 son's wedding.
