I went today and it is beautiful and huge. There are 5 casinos in the metropolitan area. Only one is having trouble. The President casino is located on an old excursion boat on the Mississippi River in downtown St. Louis. They just filed for bankruptcy last week. They are trying to stay in business, though. Riviera Corp. is trying to open another casino south of town. I think if that happens, that would be it for what this area could support. Missouri law allows you to only lose $500 per 2 hour session, so the high rollers frequent the 2 casinos on the Illinois side of the river where there is no loss limit.
