Casinos aren't kept in business by knowledgable players...tourists want a game where thay do not feel intimidated...they don't pay attention to changes in the rules. There are rule variations and "sucker bets" that continually appear. We who know better will shy away, but the uneducated will not, and that's what the casinos are counting on...
