Comcast.com users please help

Fellow comcast users,

There were 4 different technicians from comcast who came to the house in a period of 5 days to install the digital modem. All have different opinions on the installation. One said that you cannot use comcast in Windows 95, another said that Windows 98 upgrade from Win 95 won't work, still another suggested that I reformat my two hard drives with all my chip scans, address, and other stuffs in the chipping world, and finally the last one told me that to install I need to have a full version of Win 98 if I don't want to reformat. The only way to install Windows 2000 is starting fresh - meaning format the hard drives.

Unbelievable, but today a younger guy came in and installed it by using the Upgrade version of Win 98, not the full version as the others has said.

Another problem was that I could not use Nestscape only Window Explorer will work with it. After they left I used Nestscape which I have been since day one no problem.

Then the question I have to ask is that they gave me an external modem - is this right? I asked for internal modem and I paid $199.00 for it. Is this right?

Do they install internal modem? I prefer internal modem over and above the external modem.

What do you have? What do you think? Should I call the office and insist on the internal modem? What is your experience? Thank you for your help.

Leonidas
