Normally I would be opposed to changing something like a logo after it has been in use a number of years. But in this case, since the control of the logo does not seem to be completely in the club's hands, I would be in favor of changing it as long as the new logo was something that was completely controlled and owned by the club. The designer of any new logo should be required to relinquish all rights to the logo.
