I have been using the year 1972 as the approximate date that match manufacturers were 'encouraged' by the feds to put the striker on the back rather than the front of the matchbook. I came across this Sparks Nugget match though that is dated 1977 and has a front striker. It would appear that the changeover period extended later than I thought. Anyone else have a dated match that is later than 1977?
