John; Your reference in your post was to authors of chip catalogs .... and you cited my accurate quote to you of; "Does Macy's Tell Gimbels".

I, as an author, or a chip dealer, am not obligated to tell anyone and everyone how many of a particular chip I have discovered or purchased. It's "nice to know" information .... but really ... it's none of anyone's business!

I place what I feel is a fair price for the chip(s), and if the prospective purchaser wants to buy one or more, that's between the buyer and the seller .... just like any other commodity business transaction in this country. To think otherwise would require every dealer at our convention to put a quantity known figure along side of his/her price tag.

If I put the screws to any of my valued customers along the way, you can be assured that I won't stay in business very long.
