If you read all of the answres above, they all pretty much agree.

LEs are interesting and do attract new collectors.

Some of the manipulation of the issues had led to a bad taste for some.

The market is flooded and someone can't collect one of everything.

There are some interesting LEs issued and to be found for someone interested.

"I don't collect LEs anymore"

Some of the designs are very attractive, even for someone who doesn't seek them any longer.

I'd add that at some time my collection had to be held under control, so I made a decision to concentrate on more limited areas.

Same for LEs and that means someone who decides to limit their LE collection to ABC will be able to trade with someone who has decided to limit to LNM or XYZ. Everyone can win and spread the good chips they don't really collect.

LEs are here to stay. Maybe we will see a lower number of annual issues, but I think they are a good prize for the casino and the collector, who likes to save them.
