1) I collect Nevada, OBS & current; Colorado (same); Deadwood (same); River Boats (same); Indians (same); California (same); AC (same); illegals (closed since I don't think anything that is presently illegal is being offered 
); crest & seals; elks club; ivory design; design clays. I do not collect foreign, cruise, Caribbean, but people keep sending me them and so I have binders for each. Now that's probably not what one would call
2) specializing except that I limit my purchases to chips under $5 and try to collect every LV Hard Rock $5 chip.
